The State Of Omega-3

According to the USDA’s 2015-2020 guidelines, most Americans are NOT getting enough calcium, magnesium, vitamin A, E, D, and C.  Iron, too, is a concern for certain groups.

Also, when it comes to Omega-3 fatty acids, we are the lowest in the world and not getting what we need to reduce the risk of heart disease.

Omega 3s are one of the four key nutrients every cell in the body needs.  It’s directly correlated with inflammation so is anti-inflammatory, helps the immune system, blood sugar, cholesterol  and hormone balance…

As for cardio: low levels allow blood cells to become STIFF so they get stuck more easily if there is a narrowing. Adequate levels give the cells flexibility so they can wiggle through tight places.

Low levels of Omega-3 allows blood to be sticky and clump together. Adequate levels make the blood cells slippery and lowers the ability to clump.

While not a true blood thinner they do allow the blood to flow better and, in turn, help lower blood pressure.

That is, if you’re getting an Omega-3 product that is put together properly and has excellent quality control behind it.

We’re glad to share what you want to look for. Your heart will thank you!
