Life Lost its Luster?

Many people suffer from mild to moderate depression because of poor serotonin function (a neurotransmitter). Depression comes from decreased firing of the frontal lobe of the brain. The frontal lobe is saturated with serotonin receptor sites so serotonin is important for brain health. (brain health is VERY important!)
What are some symptoms of poor serotonin activity? Loss of joy in life-favorite foods/activities/relationships, anger/aggressiveness, being obsessive compulsive, migraines, irritable bowel, tinnitus, fibromyalgia, bipolar disorder.
Typical treatment for this is taking an SSRI antidepressant. One of the problems with this is, over time, the serotonin can get too high. Why? The response to serotonin gets blunted because excess exposure causes the receptors to lose sensitivity to it. Because the receptors are not taking it in properly, serotonin can get too high and cause inferiority complex, nervousness, worry about being disliked and pulling back from social contact.
There are ways to raise serotonin, naturally, without these issues. Our clients have been surprised to see how they notice the luster come back into their lives. Call us. Life’s too short to not enjoy!
